The Keysight B2900C/CL Series comprises compact Precision Source/Measure Units (SMUs) that enable precise source and simultaneous measurement of current and voltage in a single instrument. Specifically designed for accurate current-voltage (IV) measurements, these instruments are suitable for both laboratory and production environments. The combination of high measurement resolution, integrated four-quadrant source/measure functionality, and a graphical user interface with a 4.3-inch color display allows for highly efficient testing, debugging, and characterization tasks. The Keysight B2900C/CL Series is used in many fields where precise current and voltage sources and accurate measurement capabilities are required. Typical applications include IV characterization of semiconductors, testing of discrete electronic components, and materials analysis. The wide voltage and current range allows for precise measurement of both very small currents and higher power levels. Additionally, integrated sweep and arbitrary waveform functions enable flexible test sequences, such as analyzing component responses to different electrical stimuli or performing complex test sequences. The Keysight B2912C is a dual-channel Precision Source/Measure Unit (SMU) within the Keysight B2900C/CL series, offering two fully independent SMU channels in a single instrument. Compared to the single-channel Keysight B2911C, the Keysight B2912C enables parallel measurement and source functions, allowing for efficient testing of components with multiple leads or differential measurement setups. Like the B2911C, the B2912C is specifically optimized for applications requiring highly accurate measurement of very small currents. Within the series, the Keysight B2912C belongs to the more powerful C variant and offers enhanced features compared to the CL models, including comprehensive sweep and arbitrary waveform functions with up to 100,000 steps, as well as the ability to store a corresponding number of measurement points. This makes the Keysight B2912C particularly suitable for demanding characterization tasks and precise low-current measurements in research, development, and production.
