The Keysight B2900C/CL Series comprises compact and cost-effective Precision Source/Measure Units (SMUs) that combine precise current and voltage source and measurement in a single instrument. Designed for accurate current-voltage (IV) measurements, these instruments are suitable for both laboratory and production applications. The Keysight B2900C/CL Series SMUs offer high measurement accuracy and resolution, along with a graphical user interface featuring a 4.3-inch color display. This enables efficient testing, debugging, and characterization tasks. With their high measurement speed, SCPI command compatibility, and versatile display and operating modes, the Keysight B2900C/CL series instruments enable easy integration into automated test systems, helping to reduce test time and operating costs. The Keysight B2900C/CL series is designed for a wide range of measurement and test tasks requiring precise current and voltage sources and accurate measurements. Typical applications include IV measurements on electronic components, semiconductor characterization, and testing of materials and discrete components. Thanks to their wide voltage and current ranges, both very small currents and higher power ranges can be reliably tested. The integrated sweep and arbitrary waveform functions also enable flexible test sequences, for example, when analyzing component responses to different voltage or current waveforms. The Keysight B2901C is a single-channel Precision Source/Measure Unit (SMU) from the Keysight B2900C/CL series and is particularly suitable for applications where a single SMU channel is sufficient. Compared to models such as the Keysight B2902C, which provides two SMU channels, the B2901C offers a single channel, thus providing a compact and economical solution for precise single measurements. Within the series, the Keysight B2901C belongs to the higher-performance C variant and offers enhanced features compared to the CL models. These include, among other things, larger sweep and arbitrary waveform capacities with up to 100,000 steps, as well as the ability to store a correspondingly large number of measurement points. CL models in the series, on the other hand, support significantly lower step counts. Furthermore, the Keysight B2901C enables faster minimum timing intervals than the CL variants, making dynamic measurements and component characterization particularly efficient.
