The Keysight B2900C/CL Series comprises compact Precision Source/Measure Units (SMUs) that enable precise source and simultaneous measurement of current and voltage in a single instrument. Designed for accurate current-voltage (IV) measurements, these instruments are suitable for both laboratory and production environments. High measurement resolution, integrated four-quadrant source/measure functionality, and a graphical user interface with a 4.3-inch color display allow for efficient testing, debugging, and characterization tasks. The Keysight B2900C/CL Series also offers flexible sweep and arbitrary waveform functions, high measurement speed, and support for common SCPI commands, facilitating the implementation of automated test systems.
The Keysight B2900C/CL Series is used in numerous applications requiring precise current and voltage sources and accurate measurement capabilities. This includes, in particular, IV characterization of electronic components, testing of semiconductors and discrete components, as well as investigations of materials and electronic assemblies. The series' wide voltage and current range enables measurements in the range of very low currents as well as at higher power requirements. Sweep and arbitrary waveform functions also allow for flexible test sequences, for example, for analyzing component behavior under varying electrical stimuli. The Keysight B2902C model is a dual-channel Precision Source/Measure Unit within the Keysight B2900C/CL series and offers two completely independent SMU channels in one device. Compared to the single-channel Keysight B2901C model, the B2902C enables parallel measurement and source functions, which allows, for example, efficient testing of components with multiple leads or differential measurement setups. Within the series, the Keysight B2902C also belongs to the more powerful C variant and offers extended functions compared to the CL models, including extensive sweep and arbitrary waveform functions with up to 100,000 steps and a correspondingly large number of storable measurement points. These performance features make the Keysight B2902C particularly suitable for demanding characterization tasks requiring multiple channels or complex test sequences.
