Solidarity is needed by all in our society. Especially the smallest ones.
KidsProject – KiSS. Children and young people in particular need our support. That's why dataTec ran the Kids Project for 12 years. The focus was on certified children's sports schools (KiSS) throughout Germany.
More physical activity for children and young people.
What was it about?
Movement is important not just for children's physical development, but also for their mental and psychosocial development. They get to know themselves through play and thus strengthen their self-confidence. Playing with other children also develops social skills, improves motor skills and promotes enjoyment of physical activity.
In the project, dataTec specifically supported certified children's sports schools (KiSS). From 2010 to 2022, we provided more than 30 children's sports schools with T-shirts and sports equipment, and funded larger projects such as soft floor mats, football goals and training equipment. This enabled us to support the associations in their important work.
And now what?
In 2023, we decided to change our focus. We still see a responsibility in the development of children and young people – but more in the promotion of STEM careers. After all, who's to say that one day, with a little support, a curious child won't go down the path of science?

Having a goal in mind together, working towards it and being happy about the success at the end. Taking failures in your stride, gathering strength, refusing to lose courage and finding a solution together. Whether in sport or in professional life, it works better in a team. For example, dataTec has been supporting various team sports for several years and is involved in the Überlingen Sailing and Motorboat Club.

A light press on the accelerator pedal and the racing car gets going. The body is immediately pressed into the seat, the tension increases, the speed and acceleration are an incomparable feeling. Maybe a bit like riding a roller coaster. In the purely electrically powered racing car, there isn't even a delay in acceleration. Hitting the gas delivers exactly what it promises.
The GreenTeam of the University of Stuttgart has been developing electric racing cars since 2009 and participates in the international design competition Formula Student. The team has achieved some impressive successes. In the 2020/2021 season, the team finished in 1st place in Germany and 7th place worldwide. With close cooperation, inventive spirit, and the ambition to be among the best, they have succeeded in placing in the top ten of the world rankings every year since 2010.
An interest in future technologies, team spirit and an ambition to be among the best also drives us at dataTec every day. And because we want to support the student team and its determination, in 2021 we sponsored a power supply unit for the technical development of the racing car. For the future, for success.

When you think of sailing, you might think of a quiet, sunny holiday with a cocktail in hand. But sailing is dynamic and full of passion. Complete trust in the team, reliability and having a clear goal in mind are important to SMCÜ.
These things are key to the club's success in the German national league. In the same way, we at dataTec are also successful in the field of test and measurement technology. We are happy to support the club in its projects and achievements.
