172-30011-34 | EPA Gatekeeper compact, ESD tester for personal earthing systems, incl. Power supply unit and footwear electrode

The EPA Gatekeeper is used to measure and document the personal leakage resistance of shoe and wrist earthing systems. The gatekeeper is a completely in-house development by KEINATH Electronic and "Made in Germany".

Product features:

  • IEC standard conformity: digital system for daily checking and recording of personal ESD protective equipment in accordance with IEC standard 61340-5-1
  • Unique halo light effect: optimally visible red-green light projection on the mounting surface also signals your measurement results
  • Proximity sensor: automatic activation of device operation from stand-by mode when the user approaches for high operating convenience and energy savings
  • Intuitive operation: internationally easily understandable information in the form of pictograms and animations with additional visual and acoustic signaling of events
  • High-quality design: full-surface glass front with stainless steel connections for a long service life and good hygienic conditions

ESD protective measures are essential in the development, production and service areas of companies. In order to avoid an ESD effect on components and circuit boards and thus damage to the electronics, special ESD shoes and wristbands are used. These dissipate electrostatic charges from people.

The EPA Gatekeeper saves you the time-consuming creation and management of checklists. Even the basic version without an RFID card reader enables personal documentation of the measurement results. The EPA Gatekeeper is a digital, future-proof system for daily checking and recording of personal ESD protective equipment and thus fulfills the corresponding IEC standard 61340-5-1 ("Protection of electronic components against electrostatic phenomena - general requirements").

The EPA Gatekeeper is available in different versions and can basically be retrofitted with a higher equipment variant. The footwear electrode and the base for flexible mounting on the wall or table are included in the scope of delivery. The EPA Gatekeeper compact is supplied with power via a plug-in power supply unit. The EPA Gatekeeper net variant is also equipped with a network interface and can also be supplied with power via this (PoE = Power over Ethernet). When using several devices, the EPA Gatekeeper net forms an independent network with information exchange. Additional server or client software is not required here.
