The 8542B model is the compact entry-level model in the 8500B series and is ideal for simple test tasks in the laboratory or in production. With 150 W maximum power consumption, 30 A input current and up to 150 V input voltage, it offers an excellent price-performance ratio.
Operation is via an intuitive front panel with rotary control, dual-line display and function buttons. Functions such as transient mode, list mode, battery tests and PC control round off the package.
As a compact entry-level model, the 8542B offers solid basic equipment for standard tests with low power requirements. In comparison, the 8500B and 8502B offer higher power (300 W) and an extended voltage range. The 8510B and 8514B are significantly more powerful and are suitable for high current and industrial applications.
