The Cinergia GE&EL+ vAC/DC ePlus series is a state-of-the-art bidirectional and regenerative converter platform that combines the functions of a Grid Emulator (GE), an Electronic Load (EL) and a Bidirectional DC Converter (B2C) in a single device. It thus offers the most comprehensive solution for test applications in the fields of renewable energy, smart grids, electromobility, battery systems and power electronics. The modular ePLUS architecture enables parallel or series operation of multiple devices to increase performance, while state-of-the-art digital control algorithms (30 kHz control loop) ensure maximum precision and dynamics.

Model description: GE&EL+ 50 vAC/DC

The GE&EL+ 50 vAC/DC marks the entry into the higher power range of the ePlus series and impresses with a rated power of 50 kW. With a rated current of 73 A (AC) and ±50 A (DC), this model is perfect for medium-sized to power-intensive test applications, such as those used in the development of drive systems, high-voltage batteries or mains simulators. Like all devices in the series, the 50 kW model combines the functions of a grid emulator, a regenerative electronic load and a bidirectional DC converter in a single, compact system. The bidirectional and regenerative technology ensures high energy efficiency by feeding energy back into the grid, while the 30 kHz control enables fast response times and precise signal generation. With a THDi < 3 %, a power factor > 0.98 and transient times below 1 ms, the GE&EL+ 50 vAC/DC delivers consistent and reproducible measurement results. The programmable modes (CV, CC, CP, CR) and the multichannel function make it a universal tool for research and industry. With a weight of 200 kg and compact dimensions of 770 × 450 × 1100 mm, the device combines high performance with efficient use of space. It is the ideal choice for laboratory environments that require precise grid and load simulation with high energy efficiency.
