The Cinergia GE&EL+ vAC/DC ePlus series is a state-of-the-art bidirectional and regenerative converter platform that combines the functions of a Grid Emulator (GE), an Electronic Load (EL) and a Bidirectional DC Converter (B2C) in a single device. It thus offers the most comprehensive solution for test applications in the fields of renewable energy, smart grids, electromobility, battery systems and power electronics. The modular ePLUS architecture enables parallel or series operation of multiple devices to increase performance, while state-of-the-art digital control algorithms (30 kHz control loop) ensure maximum precision and dynamics.

With a rated power of 20 kW, the GE&EL+ 20 vAC/DC offers an ideal solution for applications requiring higher output currents and improved thermal stability. With a rated current of 29 A (AC) and ±25 A (DC), this model provides sufficient power reserve for demanding development, testing and validation tasks in energy and electromobility research. Like all models in the GE&EL+ ePlus series, the 20 kW device combines the functions of a full-value grid emulator, a regenerative electronic load and a bidirectional DC converter in one compact system. It offers a THDi < 3 %, a power factor > 0.98 and extremely short transient times of less than 1 ms - crucial for reproducible measurement results under dynamic test conditions. Thanks to the multichannel function and programmable operating modes (CV, CC, CP, CR), the device can be flexibly adapted to different test scenarios. The 30 kHz control ensures precise signal shaping and fast response times, while the regenerative feedback significantly reduces energy consumption in the laboratory. With a weight of 195 kg and a size of 770 × 450 × 1100 mm, the model combines high performance with efficient use of space - perfect for research facilities, test benches and industrial laboratories with medium power requirements.
