The FLIR AX8 is a temperature sensor with imaging functionality, combining a thermal and visual camera in a small and affordable package. This sensor ensures continuous temperature monitoring and alarms, thus ensuring uninterrupted condition monitoring of important electrical and mechanical equipment.
The AX8 thermal imaging sensor provides early detection of temperature-related problems in electrical and mechanical systems, making it the ideal temperature sensor for continuous condition monitoring and fire protection in electrical cabinets, processing and manufacturing plants, data centers, mass transportation facilities, power plants and storage facilities.
With its streaming video output, the AX8 not only delivers live images of any installation, but can also automatically alert you when preset temperature limits are exceeded, as well as providing temperature trend analysis.
The FLIR AX8 is Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP compatible, so analysis and alarm results can be easily transferred to a PLC. Digital inputs and outputs available for alarms and to control external devices. An image masking function makes it possible to select only relevant image areas for analysis.
