P7720 | 20 GHz Trimode Probe With Tekflex Connector Technology: Tekconnect Interface

The P7720 probe is a TriMode probe with a bandwidth of up to 20 GHz. The P7700 series TriMode probes offer the highest signal reproduction available for real-time oscilloscopes and, depending on the model, bandwidths from 8 to 20 GHz. An adapter element (solder down tip) can be selected for the P7700 series probes, which can be soldered directly into the circuit, for example (see data sheet). The solder down tips have an active buffer amplifier for a low test point load. This makes the probes very handy and user-friendly overall.

  • High-speed debugging of serial buses
  • MIPI D-PHY/C-PHY/M-PHY conformance tests
  • HDMI and DisplayPort conformance tests

Overview of adapters:

The adapters are plugged onto the actual probe (see. Data sheet for available probe/adapter combinations).

  • P77STFLXA: solderable flex circuit with an active buffer amplifier at the tip
  • P77STFLXB: probe tip solution for DDR4 and LPDDR4 validation with XH series Nexus adapters
  • P77STCABL: solder down tip with integrated active buffer amplifier and long reach
  • P77C292MM: enables connection to 2.92 mm or 3.5 mm or SMA connectors with full bandwidth and low noise; P77C292MM adapter features TriMode functionality enabling differential, single-ended and common mode measurements
  • P77BRWSR: precisely manufactured probe tips for contacting very small SMD components by hand; minimum tip spacing 0.2 mm

  • Input voltage ranges: depending on the adapter used and measurement mode: 1.2 Vpp to 12 Vpp
  • Offset voltage range with P77BRWSR adapter: -10 to +10 V; other adapters: -4 to + 4 V
  • Cable length: 1.3 m
