Manufacturer number: DPO718AX
The Tektronix DPO718AX is a high-performance digital phosphor oscilloscope from the 7 Series DPO line, designed specifically for demanding measurement tasks in high-frequency engineering, electronics development, and signal analysis. With up to 25 GHz of analog bandwidth, eight input channels, and a sampling rate of up to 125 GS/s, the oscilloscope enables the precise capture and analysis of fast, complex signal waveforms.
The DPO718AX combines four TekConnect inputs with four additional 2.92-mm inputs. Users can choose between a sampling rate of 125 GS/s on the four TekConnect channels and 62.5 GS/s when using all eight channels simultaneously. The integrated 12-bit analog-to-digital converter ensures high signal fidelity with low inherent noise. A precise time base with low intrinsic jitter supports reliable time and signal integrity measurements.
The innovative QuietChannel technology with active continuous linear equalization (CTLE) compensates for high-frequency signal loss in the transmission channel. Comprehensive digital pinpoint trigger functions, a high waveform capture rate, and an integrated bit error detector with support for NRZ data rates up to 26.6 Gbit/s facilitate the analysis of complex signal events and error diagnosis.
For convenient operation, the DPO718AX features a 15.6-inch Full HD capacitive touchscreen with the intuitive TekScope user interface. A powerful 12-core processor, 96 GB of RAM, and a removable NVMe SSD support fast processing and storage of large amounts of measurement data. Thanks to the integrated 10-Gbit Ethernet interface and numerous other ports, the instrument can be flexibly integrated into modern development and test environments.
Applications:
The Tektronix DPO718AX is particularly well-suited for research, development, validation, and troubleshooting in applications requiring high bandwidth and the highest signal quality standards.
Key applications include the development and validation of digital circuits, the analysis of signal integrity, jitter, and timing, as well as the investigation and troubleshooting of memory bus systems. In addition, the oscilloscope enables conformance testing and the diagnosis of high-speed serial interfaces in accordance with industry standards.
Other application areas include the analysis of signal and power supply integrity in the development of AI data centers, the spectral analysis of transient and broadband RF signals, and demanding research tasks, including the detection of short-duration events in high-energy physics.
Tektronix is a global leader in test, measurement, and monitoring solutions for applications in aerospace, education, automotive, and telecommunications. The portfolio includes oscilloscopes, arbitrary/function generators, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators, as well as product segments from EA Elektro-Automatik and Keithley.
