The 4 Series Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes (MSO) are available with up to 6 analog channels, making them well suited for three-phase power measurements. With this three-phase (4-3PHASE) analysis option, the oscilloscope calculates and performs three-phase power measurements such as total power, harmonic distortion, and phase parameters. The analysis package is ideal for design validation with flexible measurement curves and automatic reports. Power converters often use pulse width modulation (PWM), which complicates measurements as it is difficult to capture the cycles. The analysis option includes filtering that enables stable measurements of PWM waveforms while providing the signal detail of a fast-sampling oscilloscope. Support for DC-to-AC converters makes this package ideal for EV system analysis. Measurements are controlled via the 4 Series MSO's intuitive touch interface. 12-bit ADCs (up to 16-bit resolution in high-res mode) ensure precise measurements, and three-phase power analysis software makes measurements easier and repeatable.
