The A1110-16-E-100 from Hubert is a linear, extremely wideband precision power amplifier designed for applications requiring rapidly changing signals with high power and high signal fidelity. The device can be operated as both a voltage amplifier and a current amplifier. In current-controlled mode, it functions as a voltage-controlled current source and provides a constant output current that is virtually independent of frequency, particularly with inductive loads.
Three operating voltage ranges are available to accommodate different loads. This allows the amplifier to be used for applications with high voltage and comparatively low current as well as for low voltages and high currents. Selecting a supply voltage appropriate for the load also reduces power dissipation. The output voltage and output current can be limited and monitored via separate monitor outputs. Protection functions such as overtemperature shutdown, power dissipation calculation, current monitoring, and interlock ensure safe operation even under demanding load conditions.
Configuration and operation are performed either via the front-panel controls or via the standard USB interface and the included A1110 Control software. This software enables comprehensive remote control and configuration of the amplifier and, thanks to a complete set of remote commands, facilitates integration into automated test and measurement systems.
Typical applications for the A1110-16-E-100 include research, development, and test engineering. These encompass general laboratory applications, EMC and materials testing, component testing, as well as applications in medical technology and magnetic resonance imaging. In addition, the amplifier is suitable for moving-coil drives, piezo actuators, and the generation of magnetic fields, for example using Helmholtz coils. Other areas of application include laser and plasma technology.
