Chroma's 61700 Series Programmable AC Source provides 3-phase, pure, 5-wire AC power. In contrast to the conventional 3-phase AC power source, it contains models with low load capacity at a very low cost. Users can program the voltage and frequency and measure the critical output characteristics on the LCD screen. It has the right solution to simulate all types of DUT input conditions that are to be used in R&D and quality assurance. It is also suitable for commercial applications from laboratory tests to mass production.
The 61700 provides an output voltage between 0 and 300 V AC and can be set for each phase. Users can vary the phase angle between 0 ° and 360 °. These types of functions allow the 61700 series to simulate unbalanced 3-phase performance. Due to the wide output frequency between 15 and 1200 Hz, they are suitable for applications in the fields of avionics, shipping technology and defense technology. AC + DC mode extends the output function to simulate abnormal situations when there is a DC offset in the line.
The 61700 series uses state-of-the-art PWM technology so that it can produce a very clean AC output with a typical distortion of less than 0.3%. With the power factor correction circuit, the 61700 series achieves higher efficiency and provides more output power.
Using advanced DSP technology, the 61700 series offers precision and high speed measurements such as B. RMS voltage, RMS current, active power, power factor and current peak factor, etc.
The 61700 series offers an optional function for the output of a transient voltage. This function contains the modes LIST, PULSE, LEVEL and INTERMEDIATE VIBRATION. Users can easily program different waveforms for immunity testing. The 61700 series can also be controlled from the powerful and user-friendly soft panel via the GPIB or RS-232 interface. The soft panel also contains a waveform editor that can process components with harmonics up to the 40th order. This enables the 61700 series to output distorted waveforms as the user desires.
The self-diagnosis routine and protection against over-power, over-current, over-voltage, over-temperature and blower failure of the 61700 series guarantee quality and reliability even with the most demanding technical tests and applications in the area of mass production.
