The Keysight B2961C/B2962C Series represents a precise, low-noise power source for demanding electronic measurement applications. These instruments combine high-resolution voltage and current sources with very low noise levels, enabling the precise examination of even sensitive electronic components. Thanks to their 6.5-digit resolution and four-quadrant capability, they can generate precise output signals and measure currents accurately.
A key feature of the Keysight B2961C/B2962C Series is the combination of high resolution, wide bipolar output ranges, and fast settling time. These characteristics allow for precise control of current and voltage values while maintaining stable output quality. Features such as pulse output, sweep modes, and arbitrary waveform generation extend the application possibilities beyond classic DC power supplies. The series is used in many areas, for example, in the characterization of energy-efficient circuits, the analysis of analog and digital components, and the evaluation of semiconductor devices. Especially in applications with very low voltage and current levels, the low noise of the Keysight B2961C/B2962C instruments enables precise measurement results. The Keysight B2962C model is the dual-channel variant of the series and offers two independent output channels in one device. This allows for the simultaneous generation of multiple signals or the implementation of complex test setups. Each channel can deliver voltages up to ±210 V and currents up to ±3.03 A and supports the same operating modes such as DC, pulse, and sweep output. Compared to the single-channel B2961C, the B2962C enables parallel measurement and power supply tasks within a single instrument, making it particularly suitable for more extensive test setups or automated test systems. Product features of the series: 6.5-digit low-noise power source of the Keysight B2961C/B2962C series; Bipolar four-quadrant operation (source and sink); Maximum output voltage up to ±210 V; Maximum output current up to ±3.03 A; Maximum output power 31.8 W; Very low output noise down to approximately 10 µVrms; Minimum resolution down to 100 nV and 10 DC, pulse, sweep, and arbitrary waveform output; support for linear, logarithmic, and listen sweeps; programmable pulse width from 50 µs; arbitrary waveforms such as sine, square, ramp, triangle, or exponential; 2-wire and 4-wire remote sense measurement; graphical user interface with 4.3-inch color display; time-domain voltage and current waveform display; interfaces: GPIB (IEEE-488.2), Ethernet, and USB; programmable via SCPI and drivers for IVI-C, IVI-COM, and LabVIEW; PathWave BenchVue support and PathWave IV Curve Software
