The Keysight B2961C/B2962C Series is a high-precision 6.5-digit low-noise power source for demanding test and measurement applications in research, development, and production. The instruments in this series combine precise voltage and current source functions with very low noise and high resolution. This allows for the reliable characterization of even sensitive electronic components and samples. With bipolar four-quadrant functionality, the instruments can both supply and acquire current and voltage.
The Keysight B2961C/B2962C Series is characterized by exceptionally high measurement resolution and very low output noise. A typical noise performance of up to 10 µVrms enables precise investigations of electronic components. At the same time, the high 6.5-digit resolution allows for fine control of voltage and current values down to the smallest step sizes. This is complemented by a fast settling time and flexible operating modes such as DC source, pulsed signals, sweep functions, and arbitrary waveforms. Typical applications for the Keysight B2961C/B2962C series include precise characterization of electronic components, evaluation of analog-to-digital converters, analysis of energy-efficient circuits, and testing of modern communication and semiconductor components. Due to its very low noise and high accuracy, the series is particularly suitable for sensitive measurement tasks in laboratory environments, in the development of new electronic components, and for validation and verification testing. The Keysight B2961C model is the single-channel version of the series. It provides a single, precise voltage and current source and is particularly suitable for applications where a single test channel with maximum accuracy is required. Like all instruments in the series, the B2961C offers a maximum output voltage of up to ±210 V and a current range of up to ±3.03 A at a maximum output power of 31.8 W. Compared to the dual-channel B2962C, the B2961C focuses entirely on a single output channel, providing a compact solution for precise individual measurements or dedicated test benches. Product features of the series: 6.5-digit low-noise power source of the Keysight B2961C/B2962C series; bipolar four-quadrant operation (source and sink); maximum output voltage up to ±210 V; maximum output current up to ±3.03 A; maximum output power 31.8 W. Very low output noise down to approximately 10 µVrms; Minimum resolution down to 100 nV and 10 fA; DC, pulse, sweep, and arbitrary waveform output; Support for linear, logarithmic, and listen sweeps; Programmable pulse width from 50 µs; Arbitrary waveforms such as sine, square, ramp, triangle, or exponential; 2-wire and 4-wire remote sense measurement; Graphical user interface with 4.3-inch color display; Time-domain voltage and current waveform display; Interfaces: GPIB (IEEE-488.2), Ethernet and USB
