2306-LAN | Programmable DC power supply for battery and charger simulation, 2 channels, up to 15 V / 5 A, LAN

Testing portable, battery-operated devices under realistic conditions requires a DC power supply that can simulate the performance of a battery under many different conditions. The 2300 series power supplies for battery simulation can simulate both the output resistance of a battery and the output voltage.

With the two-channel version of these power supplies, one channel can be used as a battery and current sink to simulate a discharged battery, while the other channel supplies a voltage to test the charge control circuit of a device.

The 2-channel battery simulator Keithley 2306 was specially developed for the requirements in the development and testing of portable, battery-operated devices, such as cell phones, portable radios, etc.

This high-precision DC power supply has an ultra-fast transient response in order to be able to emulate the behavior of a DUT identically when operating with accumulators / batteries.

Product features 2300 series:

  • Extremely quick response to transient load currents, which identically emulates the behavior of batteries
  • Variable output resistance simulates the internal battery resistance
  • Measurements of pulse peak, average and base load currents
  • DC sensitivity of 100 nA for monitoring low sleep mode currents of battery-operated devices
  • Function for measuring current steps for load current measurement at each level of the device operating status
  • Reduction to 3 A to simulate a discharged battery
