Description

ASR-6660 | Power supply unit, AC&DC, 6.6 kVA, stand-alone, 3P4W (380V - 415V), 2000 Hz, LAN, USB, RS-232

The ASR-6500/6660 series from GW Instek is a powerful AC/DC power supply series designed specifically for demanding applications where high performance, stability and flexibility are required. It combines state-of-the-art silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductor technology with a compact design (4U) and offers a high power density of up to 6.6 kVA per device. The series is ideal for use in modern test environments, laboratories and industrial test applications where variable voltage and frequency conditions need to be simulated.

General features

  • High power density thanks to SiC (compound semiconductor) technology
  • 4U housing with up to 6.6 kVA or 10 kVA power per unit
  • Supports AC, DC and AC+DC output modes
  • 10 operating modes including synchronization (SYNC) and external power supply. Synchronization (SYNC) and external voltage input (VCA)
  • Multi-channel output function for flexible test configurations
  • Programmable output impedance and selectable voltage rise time
  • Arbitrary waveform editor to output tens of thousands of user-defined waveforms
  • Integrated web server control with data logging function
  • Up to 100. Harmonics measurable
  • Parallel connection of multiple devices up to 39.6 kVA / 39.6 kW
  • Standard interfaces: RS-232C, USB, LAN
  • Optional interfaces: CAN bus, DeviceNet, GPIB

Possible applications

The ASR-6500/6660 series is suitable for a wide range of high-performance applications, particularly in research, development and industrial quality assurance. Typical areas of application are:

  • Server and communication network part tests
  • On-Board Charger (OBC) for electric vehicles (3,6 W - 22 kW)
  • Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)
  • Military and scientific testing applications
  • AC inverter and motor control tests
  • Simulation of grid disturbances and power analysis
