9833B | Programmable AC/DC power supply unit, 3000 W, USB, RS-232, LAN, GPIB, 9830B series

The 9830B series from B&K Precision is a range of programmable AC power sources that combine high performance with low harmonic distortion (THD). This series supports AC, DC and AC/DC operation and is ideal for various test and simulation applications. The devices offer a maximum output power of up to 3000 VA and are equipped with extensive measurement and protection functions.

Typical areas of application:

  • Pre-compliance tests
  • Simulation of mains disturbances, voltage dips and frequency changes in accordance with IEC61000-4-11/14/28/34
  • Electromagnetic compatibility tests in accordance with IEC61000-3-2
  • Testing of consumer electronics, household appliances, industrial equipment and avionics systems
  • Testing of transformers, TRIACs, SCRs and passive components

The 9833B model is the most powerful variant of the 9830B series with a maximum output power of 3000 VA. It offers higher current capacities than the 9832B model and is particularly suitable for applications with higher power requirements. The voltage ranges include 0 to 150 V or 0 to 300 V (AC) and 0 to ±212 V or 0 to ±424 V (DC).

Differences to other variants of the 9830B series:

  • The 9833B model offers a maximum output of 3000 VA, while the 9832B is limited to 2000 VA.
  • Higher maximum current ratings: 30 A (at 150 V) and 15 A (at 300 V) compared to 20 A / 10 A for the 9832B.
  • All other functions and interfaces are identical to the 9832B model.

The 9833B model offers a powerful, versatile and reliable solution for demanding test and simulation applications in industry, research and development.
