The 9810 series from B&K Precision are programmable AC power sources that deliver 500 VA or 1000 VA depending on the model and have both universal output terminals on the front and an output on the rear. The output voltage is adjustable from 0 to 300 V with 0.1 V resolution, the frequency from 45 Hz to 500 Hz.
For demanding test sequences, the series offers a list/program mode with up to 50 programs and 9 steps per program (incl. ramp-up, dwell and ramp-down). In addition, surge/dropout functions and the integrated Power Line Disturbance (PLD) and dimmer simulator enable the realistic simulation of grid disturbances such as sag, surge, spikes and dropouts.
Typical areas of application are the evaluation of transformers, TRIACs, SCRs and passive components as well as production, R&E, service and pre-compliance tests. In particular, global grid conditions and real events such as voltage dips/ surges can be simulated. Pre-compliance testing for dips and frequency simulations in accordance with IEC61000-4-11 / 4-14 / 4-28 is also supported. Protective functions such as OVP, OCP, OPP and OTP increase the safety of the device under test.
Variant BK9812-220V:
The BK9812-220V is the 220 V mains input variant of the series with a rated power of 500 VA. It is ideal when a wide voltage and frequency range is required, but the power requirement is in the 500 VA range - for example for component tests, functional tests and standardized immunity or pre-EMV tests.
Differences to the BK9814-220V:
The main difference within the 220 V variants lies in the power and current output:
Voltage output range (0-300 V) and frequency range (45-500 Hz) are identical for both 220 V variants.
