The Cinergia EL+ vAC ePlus series is a modern, regenerative and programmable family of electronic AC loads designed to realistically simulate the behavior of electrical loads and generators. Thanks to its bidirectional, regenerative hardware, energy consumed during test operation can be efficiently fed back into the grid. This ensures a significant reduction in energy consumption and makes the series particularly sustainable and cost-efficient. With 13 models ranging from 7.5 kW to 160 kW, the series offers a wide selection for laboratory, development and industrial applications. It can be easily integrated into existing test systems via Modbus/TCP and Ethernet. The EL+ vAC ePlus series is versatile and designed for demanding test and development tasks in research and industry. It enables the precise simulation of grid loads, energy conversion systems and transient grid conditions. Typical fields of application are Testing of AC sources, UPS systems and grid inverters Simulation of grid loads and non-linear loads Research and development in the field of electromobility and smart grids Simulation of grid disturbances, voltage dips and transients Academic and industrial laboratories with a focus on power electronics Model description: EL+ 7.5 vAC The EL+ 7.5 vAC is the most compact model in the series and is ideal for applications with low to medium power requirements. With a rated power of 7.5 kW and a rated current of 11 A per phase (or 33 A three-channel), it offers an excellent combination of precision, energy efficiency and compact design. Like all models in the series, the EL+ 7.5 vAC is based on a 4-quadrant IGBT topology that enables both energy consumption and feedback to the mains. This makes the system ideal for testing inverters, grid simulations and electronic load profiles. With a power factor above 0.98, a THDi below 3% and an efficiency of ≥ 89%, the device meets the highest efficiency and quality requirements. It is easy to operate via a 4.3″ touch display with an intuitive user interface for control, data acquisition and signal visualization. Alternatively, remote control via Ethernet (Modbus TCP) is possible. Analog and digital I/O interfaces allow integration into external control or hardware-in-the-loop systems. With its compact dimensions of approx. 770 × 450 × 1100 mm and a weight of around 155 kg, the device is particularly space-saving and ideal for laboratory environments. Product features of the series: Bidirectional, regenerative AC load with feedback to the mains 13 models available from 7.5 kW to 160 kW Power factor > 0.98 and THDi < 3 % High efficiency: ≥ 89 % for models 7.5 & 10 kW Four operating modes: Current (CC), power (CP/CS), impedance (CZ) and steps mode Independent control of current, phase angle, harmonics and transients per phase Up to 50 programmable harmonics per phase (20 of which are freely definable) 4.3″ touch display for local control, Visualization and data logging Communication via Ethernet (Modbus-TCP), RS485 as well as analogue and digital I/O interfaces Parallel connection via master/slave system via fibre optic cable CE-certified in accordance with EN-50178, EN-62040-1, EN-62040-2 and RoHS-compliant Low-noise operation < 52 dB(A) with efficient air cooling
