The Cinergia EL+ vAC ePlus series is a modern, regenerative AC load platform for simulating the electrical behavior of grid consumers and generators. Thanks to its bidirectional, reverse-supply-capable hardware architecture, it is particularly energy-efficient, as the energy consumed is fed back into the grid. This not only reduces operating costs, but also enables sustainable testing processes. With outputs from 7.5 kW to 160 kW, the series is flexibly scalable and can be easily integrated into automated test systems via Modbus/TCP or Ethernet.
The EL+ vAC ePlus series is designed for use in research, development and industrial testing processes. It covers a wide range of applications, including
The EL+ 30 vAC is a versatile, medium-power model in the series with a rated power of 27 kW and a rated current of 40 A per phase (or 120 A three-channel). It offers the perfect balance between power, dynamics and precision for medium to large-scale test applications. Thanks to the 4-quadrant IGBT topology, the device can both absorb energy and feed it back into the grid. This makes it ideal for simulating realistic grid loads and generator behavior. The power factor is over 0.98, the distortion factor (THDi) is below 3% and the efficiency reaches up to 91%. It is operated locally via a 4.3" touch display or remotely via Modbus/Ethernet. With the integrated analog and digital I/O interfaces, the device can be easily integrated into external control systems or hardware-in-the-loop systems. With dimensions of approx. 770 × 450 × 1100 mm and a weight of around 200 kg, the system remains compact, robust and ideally suited for continuous operation in the laboratory or industrial environment. Thanks to master/slave operation, several devices can be connected in parallel to increase the output power.
