The Cinergia EL+ vAC ePlus series sets standards in the field of regenerative, programmable electronic AC loads. It was developed to realistically emulate the electrical behavior of grid consumers and generators, significantly increasing the efficiency of modern test environments. Thanks to its bi-directional, reverse-supply capable hardware, energy consumed during testing can be efficiently fed back into the grid - reducing energy consumption, waste heat and operating costs. With 13 scalable models from 7.5 kW to 160 kW, the series covers a wide range of applications in research, development and industry. Each device can be seamlessly integrated into automated test systems via open interfaces such as Modbus/TCP and Ethernet.
The EL+ vAC ePlus series is ideal for demanding development and test applications in the field of electrical power engineering. It enables precise simulation of grid conditions, loads and energy sources. Typical fields of application are:
The EL+ 200 vAC is the top model in the series and represents the ultimate in performance, precision and flexibility. With a rated power of 160 kW and a rated current of 232 A (three-phase), it is specially designed for large-scale test systems and industrial applications with high energy requirements. Like all models in the series, the device is based on a 4-quadrant IGBT topology, which allows energy to be both supplied and absorbed. This makes the EL+ 200 vAC perfect for emulating mains loads, generators, chargers and energy conversion systems. The efficiency is = 92 %, the power factor above 0.98 and the THDi below 3 %. A 4.3" touch display with an intuitive user interface is available for convenient operation. In addition to local control, the device can be controlled remotely via Ethernet (Modbus TCP) or an optional RS485 interface. Extensive analog and digital I/O ports allow connection to external controllers or hardware-in-the-loop systems. Thanks to the master/slave operation, several units can be operated in parallel via fiber optic cables to further increase the output power. Despite the enormous power, the system remains compact and suitable for industrial use with dimensions of around 850 × 900 × 2000 mm and a weight of around 680 kg. Efficient air cooling ensures reliable continuous operation with low noise emission (70 dB(A) at a distance of 1 m).
