The Cinergia EL+ vAC ePlus series is a range of regenerative, programmable electronic AC loads that precisely emulate the electrical behavior of passive and active devices on the grid. Thanks to its bidirectional, reverse-supply capable hardware, it reduces energy consumption during testing and significantly reduces the required grid power. The series covers a power range from 7.5 kW to 160 kW and allows several units to be connected in parallel to increase performance. The system can be easily integrated into laboratory environments or test fields via open communication protocols such as Modbus/TCP or Ethernet.
The devices in the EL+ vAC ePlus series are ideal for development, testing and quality assurance in areas such as electromobility, grid simulation, industrial test benches, academic research, smart grid testing and avionics. Typical areas of application include:
The EL+ 10 vAC model is a versatile 10 kW system in the series and offers a rated current capacity of 15 A (per phase, three-channel up to 45 A). Like all models in the series, it uses a 4-quadrant topology with digital proportional resonance control and allows operation as a programmable current, power or impedance source. Compared to the smaller models (e.g. EL+ 7.5 vAC), it offers a higher current and power reserve while remaining compact (dimensions 770 × 450 × 1100 mm at approx. 200 kg). Compared to larger models such as the EL+ 30 vAC or EL+ 60 vAC, the EL+ 10 vAC is characterized by an excellent ratio of dynamics, efficiency and precision - ideal for laboratories with medium power requirements. The control accuracy is < ± 0.2 % FS, the power factor is üover 0.98 and the efficiency reaches = 89 %. It is controlled locally via a 4.3" touch display or via Modbus/Ethernet interface.
