The Cinergia EL+ vAC ePlus series is an advanced generation of regenerative, programmable electronic AC loads that realistically simulates the electrical behavior of passive and active power supplies. Thanks to the bidirectional, reverse-supply-capable hardware, the series is particularly energy-efficient and significantly reduces the mains load during test cycles. With 13 available models from 7.5 kW to 160 kW, the series covers a wide power spectrum. The output power can be flexibly expanded by connecting several devices in parallel. Integration into automated test systems is possible via open communication interfaces such as Modbus/TCP or Ethernet.

The EL+ 100 vAC model is a powerful representative of the series with a rated output of 100 kW and a maximum AC current of 145 A (three-phase). It combines high power reserves with precise control and regenerative backfeed into the grid. In contrast to smaller models such as the EL+ 20 vAC or EL+ 40 vAC, the 100 kW system offers significantly extended testing options for large test samples and industrial applications. Thanks to the 4-quadrant technology, the device can both absorb energy and feed it into the grid and thus realistically simulate generators, inverters or consumers. With an efficiency of = 92 %, a current distortion (THDi) of less than 3 % and a power factor of over 0.98, it meets the highest efficiency and quality requirements. Like all models, it has a 4.3" touchscreen for local operation, extensive analog and digital I/O interfaces and open Ethernet Modbus communication for remote control and automation. Despite its high performance, the unit remains compact (dimensions approx. 870 × 875 × 1320 mm, weight ˜ 400 kg) and can be operated in a master/slave network with other units to flexibly expand the overall performance.
