The CINERGIA EL+ vAC/DC ePlus series stands for maximum performance and precision in modern regenerative power electronics. As a bidirectional electronic load for AC and DC applications, it was specially designed for demanding tests, simulations and development tasks in laboratories, industry and research. Thanks to its feedback-capable topology, it enables efficient energy feedback into the grid, thereby significantly reducing energy consumption and operating costs. With a harmonic grid input (THDi < 3 %) and a power factor of over 0.98, the series meets the highest demands in terms of grid quality and energy efficiency.

The EL+ vAC/DC ePlus series offers maximum flexibility for a wide range of technical applications and test tasks:

Model description: EL+ 40 vAC/DC

The EL+ 40 vAC/DC model impresses with a rated output of 40 kW and an outstanding combination of performance, dynamics and energy efficiency. In AC mode, the device delivers up to 58 A (three-phase operation) or 174 A (single phase) and in DC mode ±40 A / ±120 A. This makes the EL+ 40 ideal for extensive test and development tasks in research and industry where high currents and precise controllability are required. Like all models in the series, the EL+ 40 vAC/DC is fully bidirectional and regenerative - the energy consumed during test operation is fed back into the grid, minimizing energy losses. Compared to smaller models such as EL+ 20 or EL+ 30 vAC/DC, it offers a significantly increased power reserve and is ideal for medium to large test systems. Despite the increased power, the device remains compact and space-saving with dimensions of 770 × 450 × 1100 mm and a weight of around 200 kg. With a control resolution of 10 mV/10 mA and a response time of less than 1 ms, the EL+ 40 delivers precise, stable results even with dynamic test cycles. It is easy to operate via the 4.3″ touch display or by remote control via Modbus TCP/Ethernet. Optional functions such as battery test, battery emulation or PV panel emulation make the model a versatile testing tool for R& D, energy and mobility applications.
