The CINERGIA EL+ vAC/DC ePlus series stands for maximum precision, energy efficiency and flexibility in modern regenerative power electronics. As a bidirectional electronic load for AC and DC applications, it is the ideal solution for high-performance testing, research, development and industrial test systems. Thanks to its regenerative hardware architecture, energy is fed back into the mains during operation - this not only reduces energy consumption, but also heat generation and operating costs. With a harmonic mains input (THDi < 3 %) and a power factor above 0.98, the series offers maximum mains quality and system stability.

The EL+ vAC/DC ePlus series covers a wide range of professional applications and is designed for high-performance testing in research and industry:

Model description: EL+ 160 vAC/DC

The EL+ 160 vAC/DC model marks the entry into the field of high-power loads with a rated output of 145 kW. It delivers currents of up to 211 A (three-phase operation) in AC mode and ±155 A / ±465 A in DC mode. This makes it ideal for extensive test applications where high currents, precise control and high dynamics are required. Like all devices in the series, the EL+ 160 vAC/DC is fully bidirectional and regenerative. The energy consumed is efficiently fed back into the grid, allowing the test systems to be operated sustainably and energy-efficiently. Compared to smaller models such as the EL+ 100 or EL+ 120, the 160 kW version offers a significantly higher current carrying capacity and power reserve and is ideal for large-scale test benches, battery and inverter tests and grid simulation tasks. With robust dimensions of 850 × 900 × 2000 mm and a weight of around 680 kg, the EL+ 160 is designed for continuous industrial operation. The control resolution of 10 mV/10 mA and a response time of less than 1 ms enable precise and repeatable results even with highly dynamic test cycles. It can be conveniently controlled via the integrated 4.3″ touch display or remotely via Modbus TCP/Ethernet. In addition, optional functions such as battery test, battery emulation and PV panel emulation are available to realistically depict complex energy scenarios.
