The CINERGIA EL+ vAC/DC ePlus series represents the latest generation of bidirectional, regenerative electronic load systems for precise and efficient AC/DC testing. Thanks to state-of-the-art power electronics with regenerative topology, this series enables sustainable tests in which energy losses are minimized and operating costs are significantly reduced. The EL+ ePlus devices offer maximum flexibility for research, development and industrial test applications - with a clean mains input (THDi < 3 %) and a power factor of over 0.98. They are among the most versatile AC/DC test devices in their class.

The EL+ vAC/DC ePlus series covers a wide range of professional applications in energy and electrical engineering:

  • Performance tests and simulation of batteries, chargers and power converters
  • Testing of PV inverters and renewable energy systems
  • Grid simulations and anti-islanding tests in smart grid

Model description: EL+ 15 vAC/DC

The EL+ 15 vAC/DC model is the ideal solution for users who require higher power and dynamics without sacrificing precision and efficiency. With a rated power of 15 kW and a maximum AC current of 22 A (three-phase operation) or 66 A (single phase), it offers more power reserve for demanding testing and development tasks. In DC mode, ±20 A / ±60 A are available. Like all models in the series, the EL+ 15 vAC/DC also works bidirectionally and regeneratively, allowing energy to be fed back into the grid. This makes it ideal for sustainable and energy-efficient laboratory applications. Compared to the smaller EL+ 7.5 and EL+ 10 models, the 15 kW version offers a significantly higher current carrying capacity and extends the range of applications to medium-sized industrial test systems. Despite the increased power, the size remains compact (770 × 450 × 1100 mm) with a weight of approx. 195 kg. With a control resolution of 10 mV/10 mA and a response time of less than 1 ms, the EL+ 15 is perfect for fast load changes and dynamic measurement processes. It can be conveniently controlled via the integrated 4.3" touch display or remotely via Modbus TCP/Ethernet. Optional functions such as battery test, battery emulation and PV panel emulation are available, making the device particularly versatile for R & D applications.
