Testing Electrical Installations and Systems.

DThe PROFITEST MF installation tester allows you to quickly and reliably verify the effectiveness of protective measures in fixed electrical installations—whether after commissioning, repair, expansion, or during periodic re-testing. This is done using either preconfigured or user-programmable measurement and test sequences, fully compliant with standards such as E-CHECK, DIN VDE 0100–600, VDE 0413, and VDE 0105–100.

Safety Meets Convenience.

With the PROFITEST MF, you never have to compromise on usability. The high-resolution swivel display with excellent contrast shows your inputs instantly thanks to the instrument’s rapid response time. Operation is intuitive with the side-mounted rotary switch and the tactile softkeys. The tester also supports external devices such as keyboards, scanners, or RFID readers.

Measurements are designed for maximum user comfort and efficiency. The user interface is tailored for real-world workflows—for example, with automatic limit value calculation in continuity (RLO) testing or automatic progression through test sequences in insulation resistance (ISO) measurements. After insulation testing, capacitances are automatically discharged to prevent residual voltages.

The PROFITEST MF provides test sequences for all relevant applications and can store up to 50,000 test records. With IZYTRONIQ software integration and the option to expand functions, the instrument is highly adaptable and future-proof.

Application Examples.

Automatic Test Sequences

Recurring test routines—including those required by standards—can be stored as automated test sequences in the PROFITEST MF. Up to 200 individual steps can be executed fully automatically in sequence. These sequences are created on a PC using the IZYTRONIQ software and then transferred to the tester.

Verification of EV Operating States at Charging Stations (IEC 61851-1)

Using an adapter, the PROFITEST MF can test the operating state of electric vehicles at EV charging stations in compliance with IEC 61851-1. The adapter simulates the different operating states of a connected vehicle.

Testing Insulation Monitoring Devices (IMDs) – PROFITEST MF XTRA

This special function allows you to verify insulation monitors used in IT power systems where a single-pole ground fault must not cause a power failure (e.g., operating rooms or PV systems). A configurable insulation resistance is connected between one IT system phase and ground by pressing the START key.

During testing, the resistance can be adjusted manually via softkeys or varied automatically from Rmax to Rmin in AUTO mode. You can then evaluate and document the IMD’s display and response behavior.

Intelligent Ramp
(PROFITEST MF Xtra)

Unlike individual tests, this feature simultaneously measures both shutdown current and shutdown time by applying a stepwise increasing test current. The RCD only needs to trip once. The intelligent ramp is divided into time segments of 300 ms each between the initial current value and the final current value.

This results in a gradation, with each step corresponding to a constant test current that flows for a maximum of 300 ms, provided that no tripping occurs. Both the trip current and trip time are measured and displayed.


Accessories for E-Mobility.

The rapid growth of electric vehicles places new demands on the existing power grid and charging infrastructure. Together with an adapter, the PROFITEST MF can verify EV operating states at charging stations according to IEC 61851-1.
