The Keysight P50xxB series combines precise vector network analysis with a compact form factor for PC-connected operation via Thunderbolt. It is suitable for research, development and production - from the characterization of passive components, connectors, cables and filters to amplifiers and mixers/frequency converters. Optional software functions (e.g. spectrum analysis, pulse RF, TDR) turn the VNA into a versatile RF measurement platform.
The VNA Keysight P5023B presented here is a 4-/6-port model (depending on the option selected) of the P502xB family with a frequency range from 9 kHz to 14 GHz. Compared to the P5022B (up to 9 GHz), the P5023B offers significant frequency headroom into the upper X-band and lower Ku-band - ideal for multi-port S-parameters on duplexers and multi-port filters, crosstalk and balance analysis on connectors/backplanes, MIMO antennas and differential high-speed lines. The six integrated ports enable genuine multi-port measurements without an external switching matrix, significantly reduce reconnection and recalibration effort and enable mixed-mode parameters (e.g. Sdd, Scc, Sdc, Scd) in a single run. Within the 6-port series, the maximum frequency scales further above P5024B (20 GHz); for higher frequencies, 2-/4-port variants up to 53 GHz are available.
