Manufacturer number: GPT-15012
The GW Instek GPT-15012 is a state-of-the-art electrical safety analyzer specifically designed to meet the demanding requirements of electrical and electronic product safety testing. This analyzer is characterized by its high accuracy, versatile functions and ease of use and is ideal for applications in production, quality testing and development validation.
The GPT-15012 meets the requirements of the IEC 61010-2-034 standard, which defines the safety requirements for measurement, control and laboratory equipment and is particularly suitable for safety testing of high-voltage insulation products such as energy storage and photovoltaic components, high-voltage relays as well as wires and cables.
One of the outstanding features of the GPT-15012 is its ability to perform both DC breakdown tests (DC 12kV/10mA) and insulation resistance tests (DC 50V to 5000V, up to 50GΩ). The analyzer uses a highly efficient PWM amplifier that minimizes the effects of voltage fluctuations and distorted waveforms to ensure a stable high-voltage output. This guarantees precise test results that comply with safety regulations such as IEC, EN, UL, CSA, GB and JIS.
The GPT-15012 focuses on user safety. The device has a double-insulated design for the input and output voltages as well as various mechanisms to prevent accidents. These include a retracted on/off switch that can only be activated by a long press or by pressing two buttons simultaneously, as well as bright LED indicators and audible signals that indicate the status of the tests in progress. After each test, the device under test (DUT) is automatically discharged to a safe voltage (approximately 30V) to avoid residual voltages that could harm the user.
The GPT-15012 features a 7-inch color TFT LCD that allows clear and easy observation of test results. The analyzer offers high resolution accuracy for output and measurement voltage as well as current measurement, which is particularly important for the precise measurement of small leakage currents. The adjustable rise and fall times of the voltage as well as the upper and lower limits for the test judgments also contribute to the flexibility and accuracy of the tests.
Another outstanding feature of the GPT-15012 is the statistics function. This makes it possible to save test results and judgments in a temporary memory (up to 60,000 data records) and display them in the form of bar charts. This allows users to see the status of product testing and the distribution of test results directly without using a PC. This is particularly useful for quality assurance in production, as it allows defective products to be quickly identified and the production process to be adjusted accordingly.
The sweep function of the GPT-15012 provides a detailed analysis of the test curves by recording the measurement results point by point and displaying them in a diagram. This allows users to observe the change in measurement parameters (current or resistance) during the test and identify critical points of the DUT. The function is particularly useful for determining the exact breakdown point of the DUT.
For storing and processing the test results, the GPT-15012 offers both internal storage options and the option of saving data to a USB stick. The device supports various communication interfaces, including RS-232C, USB and optional GPIB or LAN, allowing easy integration into existing systems and convenient transfer of test results to a PC.
