The BK4088 from B&K Precision is a compact 2-in-1 RF signal and waveform generator that combines an RF signal generator with an AWG/function generator. This makes the device ideal for research and development, manufacturing, design verification, service, and training. The dedicated RF channel generates CW signals up to 1.5 GHz with modulation and sweep functions, while the AWG/function generator provides sine, square, triangle/ramp, pulse, and arbitrary signals.
By operating the RF and AWG/function outputs simultaneously, the BK4088 can replace several individual devices, saving space and costs on the lab bench. Typical applications include general RF testing, component testing via frequency sweeps, sensor and bus simulation, trigger and clock signal generation, as well as the development and validation of electronic circuits. Operation is convenient via a 4.3-inch color display, front-panel buttons, a rotary encoder, and numeric input.
