1696B | Programmable DC Power Supply Unit, 1-20 V / 0-10 A, 1696B Series

The 1696B series from B&K Precision includes compact, programmable 200W DC power supplies that offer a variety of control and protection features. They are equipped with features normally found in more powerful and expensive devices. These include list mode programming for repeatable sequences and 10 user-defined voltage and current presets for a quick return to specific settings.

These power supplies are ideal for numerous applications in research and development (R&D), production and quality testing, product evaluation and teaching and training in technical laboratories.

  • Automatic switching between constant voltage (CV) and constant current (CC)
  • Protective functions: Over voltage protection (OVP), over current protection (OCP), over temperature protection (OTP) and key lock
  • Control of up to 31 power supplies via an RS485 interface
  • Storage of up to 10 voltage and current values for quick recall
  • Lightweight and compact for versatile use
  • Large, backlit LCD display
  • Variable speed thermostatically controlled fan for low noise
  • USB and RS485 interfaces with support for basic SCPI commands

The 1696B power supply presented here is a variant of the series that offers voltage regulation from 1 to 20 V and a maximum current of 10 A. Compared to the other models in the series, the specifications differ as follows:

  • 1696B: 1-20 V / 0-10 A
  • 1697B: 1-40 V / 0-5 A
  • 1698B: 1-60 V / 0-3.3 A

All models have a maximum output of 200 W, but different voltage and current ranges for different applications.
