New webshop: An interview with Matthias Vogt.
dataTec has updated its website and at the same time relaunched the webshop. Reason enough to ask the project manager, Matthias Vogt from the marketing team, for a short interview.

Matthias Vogt: Our webshop was no longer able to meet the latest needs of our customers and the technical requirements. In order to fulfil these and our own requirements, we decided to relaunch it. Altogether we invested two years in order to get the best out of the project by utilising expertise from a wide range of internal and external areas.
Now we have a version that can be used indefinitely, with a wide range of options and features that benefit both the customer and us at dataTec behind the scenes. The new webshop also gives us a great deal of potential to develop further and respond quickly to new demands.
What can customers look forward to in particular?
Matthias Vogt: Because we know just how complex it can be to find the right appliance, our customers can look forward to the good feeling of being supported in all their product selection processes. With the new webshop, we want to live up to our claim of not leaving anyone alone with their task and of making the right decision together. Customers will find more than 25,000 products from over 50 well-known manufacturers in our range. Finding the right test and measurement technology can quickly become a challenge.
The new webshop therefore has extensive data that enables devices and areas of application to be compared. Thanks to the improved filter function that is structured like a configurator, customers can find the right products for their task more quickly. Of course, our webshop also offers the consulting expertise for which dataTec is renowned, allowing customers to quickly access the know-how of the dataTec experts online.
Products can be compared in the shopping basket and their most important differences identified at a glance. In addition, the choice can easily be handed over to dataTec experts to check for compatibility.
What is your personal highlight?
Matthias Vogt: I particularly like how intuitively the new shop can be operated by both customers and administrators. The new options in the wiki make our website even more attractive and underline our expertise when it comes to test and measurement technology.
We are pleased that the new webshop has gone live and that everything went almost without a hitch. We are now looking forward to the feedback from our customers.
