dataTec Invests in Future Technologies and International Expansion.

dataTec AG, a leading specialist distributor of measurement and test equipment in Europe, successfully completed the 2025/2026 financial year despite the persistently challenging economic environment.

Despite continued reluctance to invest across many industries, order intake developed positively in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH), reaching approximately EUR 75 million—an increase of around 9 percent compared with the previous year. Earnings fell short of expectations due to the challenging market conditions, but remained stable over the course of the financial year. “Our order intake confirms that our strategic direction is delivering results. Although the operating environment remains challenging, we are seeing positive momentum in numerous markets and technology fields,” explains Markus Kohler, CEO and member of the Executive Board of dataTec. “At the same time, we are systematically developing our organizational structures and sustainably improving the efficiency of our processes.”

Growth drivers during the financial year included future-oriented markets such as robotics, aerospace and defense, and energy. The automotive sector also remains a strategically important market segment for dataTec. In parallel, the company made targeted investments in expanding its solutions and consulting portfolio, as well as in new technologies and manufacturer partnerships. dataTec also recorded positive developments in several international markets. In particular, the companies in Spain and Scandinavia performed above expectations, generating more than EUR 20 million. In Switzerland, key foundations for further growth were established, including the expansion of the field sales team. In Austria, dataTec is also investing in the development of its sales activities to further strengthen customer proximity in the region.

With regard to its corporate organization, dataTec set an important course for the future during the past financial year. Marc Frohmüller has been a member of the Executive Board as CFO since May 2026. In addition, the management team was expanded to include Tobias Maichle, Head of Operations, and Roland Bertler, Head of Marketing, as members of the Extended Executive Board. This structure strengthens the company’s strategic and operational development. “We are deliberately investing in future technologies, international markets and our organization. In doing so, we are laying the foundations for sustainable growth and ensuring that dataTec remains future-ready over the long term,” emphasizes Kohler. “Our commitment remains unchanged: We aim to support our customers as a competent and reliable partner for measurement and test equipment and to further expand our position in Europe.” For the 2026/2027 financial year, dataTec expects investment activity in key customer segments to recover gradually. Against the backdrop of technological transformation processes and increasing requirements in development, quality assurance and production, the company therefore looks ahead to the coming months with confidence.
