dataTec AG, Europe’s largest specialist distributor for testing and measurement equipment, is expanding its digital knowledge base: the “100 Questions & 100 Answers” section in the dataTec Wiki has been significantly extended and now offers 221 concise, practical answers to frequently asked technical questions – free of charge and available online at any time.
The Wiki is a key component of dataTec AG’s content strategy and is divided into several thematic areas. The “100 Questions & 100 Answers” section offers easily digestible knowledge, while the “Applications & Technical Articles” section provides application scenarios and technical background reports. The “Measurement Tips” offer practical advice and recommendations, and “Unboxed” videos present products in a real-world application context.
Within this modular offering, “100 Questions & 100 Answers” has been specifically expanded with new, practice-relevant topics. These include entries on the selection and use of probes, the integration of modular measurement systems into flexible test setups, and signal generation for development and testing. Additional content covers the use of measurement software, high-frequency technology, real-time data acquisition, spectrum analysis, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Users can now find answers to questions such as: “What security requirements should test and measurement software fulfill?”, “How can the measuring accuracy of a data logger be optimized?”, or “What types of sources of interference for EMC problems are there?”
“We are delighted that our knowledge platform has reached the next milestone and is being so positively received by the industry,” says Roland Bertler, Head of the dataTec Academy and Head of Marketing. “As a specialist distributor with our own academy, it is our mission to provide not only products but also in-depth expertise. With these additions, we offer technicians and decision-makers even more valuable information – free, digital, and always accessible. This supports both purchasing decisions and everyday practice.”
The content in this section follows the principle of “snackable content,” designed to be easily understood and immediately applicable. Editorial quality is ensured through a collaboration of content management, in-house editorial teams, and experienced technicians and engineers. The continuous expansion is driven by feedback from consultations and active exchange with users. Additional sections are already planned, including an upcoming “Sonic Cameras” section focused on industrial maintenance, leak detection, and acoustic fault analysis. Users can also submit their own questions via frag-uns[at]@datatec.eu.
