The 1 U high front-end power supplies with 1.6 kW single output have a market-leading power density of 1.54 W / cm³ in this area and, if required, can accommodate a full 8 kW output power in a single 1 U rack through parallel operation. They are aimed at applications that require a reliable and powerful supply; Typical areas of application are communication and transmission systems, military (COTS), laser and process controls. The output voltage can be adjusted by up to 20% so that the HFE1600 power supplies also meet specific requirements. The universal input (85-265 V AC) ensures problem-free use worldwide, and the high efficiency of 92% minimizes heat loss and power consumption and meets the efficiency requirements of the Climate Savers Computing Initiative. Protection against overvoltage, overcurrent and overtemperature is also part of the standard equipment, as are LEDs for AC OK, DC OK / Fail and a lever in the front of the device that can be used to easily remove and replace the power supply during operation. Remote on / off and sense connections to compensate for a voltage drop across the output lines are also available. The output voltage can be programmed via a resistor, external control voltage or via a PM-Bus compatible I²C communication interface.
