Depending on the applicable test standard, the safety test on electrical devices must be completed after the test on the de-energized device by a leakage current measurement with an increased nominal voltage. Only the leakage current test enables the activation of internal switching elements in electrical devices.

With the leakage current tester AI 5601D, the supply voltage of the device under test is switched off during the mode change.
