The model A1587 is a current sensor, corresponding to a current clamp, for one phase. This sensor consists of a current coil and works according to the Rogowski principle. The high measuring accuracy is achieved by differentiating the alternating current to be measured into three areas: 30 A, 300 A and 3000 A. The large sensor length offers enough scope that even busbars and thick cables can be wrapped around. The sensor is powered by the mains or by rechargeable batteries.
