The HMC8042 power supplies are at home with their technical data and the wide range of functions in the development laboratory and in the industrial environment. Due to the high energy efficiency even at maximum load, the linearly regulated power supplies remain cool and quiet. Practical interfaces and connection options offer the user comfortable work even in the 19 "rack.
The HMC8042 offers a maximum total output of up to 100 W and a continuous voltage range from 0 V to 32 V / 5 A. Several outputs can be connected in parallel or in series to increase the voltages or currents. For this purpose, the outputs are galvanically isolated from each other, are floating and overload and short-circuit proof. The voltage, current and power values are shown on a brilliant QVGA display.
With extensive logging functions, an integrated energy meter and electronic fuses that allow the channels to be combined with one another, the HMCx power supplies are ideal power supplies for hardware developers, laboratory workstations or for use in industrial environments.
Linearly adjusted switching regulators ensure a high degree of efficiency, which is manifested in extremely low heat development under full load. Useful functions such as the offset start of the channels, EasyArb and EasyRamp functions programmable directly on the device, an analog input for external control of voltage values, an external trigger input for switching channels and arbitrary steps, as well as an over-voltage that can be set for each channel - and over-power protection are important for developers and industrial users.
All connections, including the SENSE connections, are made on the back of the device. A clamp connection simplifies installation and removal in the rack. The LXI-compliant power supply can be controlled via a LAN, USB or an optional GPIB interface. When communicating via USB, the CDC (virtual COM port) and TMC classes are supported. The remote control commands are based on the SCPI standard.
