What is the NI Standard Service Program (SSP)?

The NI Standard Service Program (SSP) is a service package for NI hardware that provides an extended warranty as well as technical support. Among other things, it includes up to 3 years extended warranty coverage and support from NI application engineers by phone and email. 



Can I renew the NI SSP adter it expires?

Yes. After your service contract expires, you have a 30-day grace period during which you can easily renew the service.



What happens if I do not renew the NI SSP?

Your hardware will of course remain operational. However, after the service contract expires, important services will no longer be available: the extended warranty, technical support from NI application engineers, and additional services under the NI SSP. That means repairs and support will no longer be included in the service scope.



Is renewal of the NI SSP mandatory?

No, renewal is optional. Without an active service contract, you can continue using your hardware as usual, but without the additional services.



How can I renew the NI SSP?

Approximately three months before your service contract expires, you will receive a suitable renewal offer from us. Several options are available for renewal. You can conveniently send the order by email to info@datatec.com or arrange the renewal directly with your personal contact.



What does the NI Standard Service Program (SSP) cost?

The cost of the NI Standard Service Program varies depending on the product for which you would like to use it. We will be happy to advise you individually. Please feel free to contact us.



Which products does the NI SSP apply to?

The NI Standard Service Program is available for various NI hardware products, for example for data acquisition devices such as the USB-6008.
