The NI Data Acquisition Using NI-DAQmx and LabVIEW Instructor-Led Training course is available both as a virtual online course where you can interact with a certified instructor, and as an in-house course at your location.

The Data Acquisition Using NI-DAQmx and LabVIEW seminar helps you explore the fundamentals of data acquisition using sensors, NI DAQ hardware, and LabVIEW. The course shows you how to design high-performance integrated data acquisition (DAQ) systems that provide accurate measurements. In this course, you will learn the basics of hardware selection, sensor connectivity, and how to use NI-DAQmx drivers for data acquisition tasks. You will learn how to program finite and continuous acquisitions and recommended methods for hardware and software timing, triggering, and logging.

After completing this course, you will be able to use DAQ hardware to acquire data from sensors and use your understanding of LabVIEW and the NI-DAQmx API to create applications.

Overview of the topics:

  • Develop integrated, high-performance data acquisition systems for precise measurements
  • Acquire data from sensors (such as thermocouples and strain gauges) using NI-DAQ hardware
  • Build applications using LabVIEW and the NI-DAQmx API
  • Avoid measurement errors due to aliasing and improperly grounded signals
  • Trigger measurements using hardware and software triggers
  • Acquiring and generating analog waveforms (single value and buffered analog waveforms)
  • Acquisition and generation of digital signals
  • Improving the quality of acquired signals using signal conditioning
  • Synchronize multiple data collection operations and devices
