You can access S7 programmable logic controllers with the SP7 toolkit for LabVIEW. The SP7 Toolkit for LabVIEW is a software add-on that allows you to read and write various types of data and exchange the data with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) using TCP/IP communications. This additional package is compatible with the PLC controllers Siemens Simatic S7 of the S7-200, S7-300 and S7-400 series if they have an Ethernet interface, as well as with the S7-1200 and S7-1500 series. The additional package can also replace OPC servers (Open Platform Communication) and is suitable for cross-platform use, even in real-time systems. The SP7 Toolkit for LabVIEW offers a single SP7 runtime license.
