The PXI ‑ 8513 module is a software-selectable CAN interface card (Controller Area Network) for application development with the NI ‑ XNET driver. Software-selectable NI-XNET interfaces with integrated transceivers for high-speed / FD, low-speed / fault-tolerant and single-wire CAN when developing CAN applications, as well as with any external transceiver. The PXI ‑ 8513 card is particularly suitable for applications in which several hundred CAN frames and signals have to be processed in real time and at high speeds, such as for hardware ‑ in ‑ the ‑ loop simulations, rapid control prototyping, bus monitoring, Automation control and much more Using the NI ‑ XNET ‑ DMA engine, the integrated processor can exchange CAN frames and signals between interfaces and user programs without CPU interrupts occurring.
