Keysight N7020A | Oscilloscope probe, bandwidth 2 GHz, low noise, autoprobe connection, especially for measurements on supply voltages from switching power supplies.

  • Low noise: In 1: 1 mode, the probe head only contributes 10% to the scope's own noise.
  • Wide offset range: ± 24 V; offers the advantage that the DC component can be compensated for during DC voltage measurements and therefore the vertical scaling of the oscilloscope can be set to maximum sensitivity so that the measurement curve lies in the center of the scope of the image.
  • Low load on the supply voltage to be measured due to a 50 kΩ input impedance
  • Large active signal range of ± 850 mV in connection with the offset range offers the user the measurement of large voltage swings on the supply lines.
  • High bandwidth of 2 GHz, which can be used to find fast transients that can have an adverse effect on clocks and data in digital systems.

Description

N7020A Power Rail Probe, 2 GHz

This active oscilloscope probe head N7020A has been specially developed for the requirements when measurements on switching power supplies or on the supply voltages have to be carried out in an electronic system. Typical measurements are: detection of ripple and transients, noise measurements, control behavior of the power supply during load changes etc. Furthermore, this probe is designed to prevent periodic and random disturbances (PARD / Periodic and Random Disturbances), reactions to static and dynamic load changes in the case of setpoint changes by a program and during integrity checks must be measured or carried out.

The supply voltage tolerances have become much tighter with today's products. The trial head N7020A takes this into account. It can be used with all oscilloscopes of the InfiniiVision 3000T, 4000X, Infiniium S and Infiniium 9000 series, both with the DSO and with the MSO models with the Scope firmware version 5.20 or higher.

  • N7020A Power Rail Probe, 3x N7021A pigtail cables, 1x N7022A main cable.

Note:

  • N7021A: Replacement for the solderable cable (pig tail) with a length of approx. 20 cm
  • N7022A: Replacement for the 1.2 m main cable
