B2985C | Electrometer/High-Resistance Measuring Device, 0.01 fA, 1000 V

The Keysight B2980C Series combines high-precision femto-/picoammeters and electrometers for sensitive electrical measurements. With a resolution of up to 0.01 fA and a graphical user interface, the instruments in this series enable detailed analysis of even the smallest current signals. This allows for the reliable execution of even demanding measurement tasks.

The series combines high measurement accuracy with user-friendly operation. The graphical display modes facilitate the interpretation of measurement data and support users in analyzing sensitive signals. At the same time, PC-based software solutions and various interfaces enable easy integration into automated measurement systems.

Typical applications of the Keysight B2980C Series include leakage current measurements, insulation testing, material analysis, and research in fields such as nanotechnology or semiconductor development. The devices particularly excel when measuring extremely high resistances or very small currents. The Keysight B2985C is an electrometer and high-resistance meter within the series, expanding the pure picoammeter functions of the smaller models with additional measurement capabilities. In addition to precise current measurements from 0.01 fA to 20 mA, the model also supports high-resistance measurements up to 10 pΩ and voltage source functions in the range of 1 µV to 20 V. Compared to the B2981C and B2983C picoammeter models, the B2985C is therefore particularly suitable for applications where resistance and charge measurements are required in addition to current measurements.
