The GW Instek GSG-2160 is the top model in the GSG-2000 series of RF signal generators. It was specially developed for demanding applications in the field of RF and digital signal generation. With its extended functionality, especially in the area of digital modulation, the GSG-2160 clearly stands out from the GSG-2060. It is ideal for advanced testing in digital communication, IoT applications and automotive technology.

Product features of the GSG-2160-GPIB-AUX:

  • Frequency range: 9 kHz to 6 GHz
  • Frequency resolution: 1 mHz
  • Amplitude: -140 dBm to +20 dBm with a resolution of 0.01 dBm
  • Phase noise: Typically -117 dBc/Hz at 1 GHz and 20 kHz offset
  • Frequency stability: Includes OXCO oscillator (10 ppb) // Alternatively available without, then 10 ppm as standard
  • Advanced digital modulation options:
    • Supports digital modulation types such as ASK, PSK, APSK, QAM, FSK and MSK.
    • Enables user-defined IQ and FSK modulation signals.
  • Bandwidth:
    • Up to 60 MHz baseband IQ output
    • Up to 120 MHz RF IQ modulation
  • Other functions:
    • Analog modulations: AM, FM, PM
    • Pulse and LF signal output (sine, square, triangle, Gaussian noise)
