The Chroma ultra-low voltage DC load 63202A-20-2000 has been specially developed for applications where extremely low voltages and high currents are required. With a maximum current draw of 2,000 A at an operating voltage of only 0.25 V, this electronic load is ideal for electric vehicles (EVs), fuel cells and especially for testing DC-DC converters, point-of-load (POL) converters and voltage regulator modules (VRM) used in CPU and GPU power systems.
The 63202A-20-2000 features a unique front copper rail design that reduces internal inductance and resistance. This improves the response speed, which is particularly important when the load is used for testing products below 1.0 V. These features make it an ideal device for applications in research and development where simulation and validation of real load conditions play a crucial role.
The device supports various operating modes, including User Defined Waveform (UDW) mode, which allows user-defined current waveforms to be simulated. This is particularly useful for accurately replicating real-world current loads, as required when testing modern electronic components. Store up to 255 programmable sequences.
Of course, the Chroma 63202A-20-2000 is equipped with comprehensive protection features, including over-current, over-temperature and over-voltage protection as well as a reverse voltage warning. These protection mechanisms ensure that both the test device and the tested components are protected from damage. This is particularly important in environments where precise control and monitoring of load conditions is essential.
This electronic load has been specifically designed for testing the power supply of CPUs and GPUs, where a stable and reliable power supply is critical to performance. With an output of up to 2,000 A and an output voltage of 0.6 to 1.2 V, the 63202A-20-2000 can accurately simulate the load characteristics of these power supplies and perform reliable tests.
In addition to supporting real-time load simulations, the device offers a range of interfaces that enable seamless integration into existing test benches. In addition to the standard USB interface, options for Ethernet, GPIB and CAN bus are also available. Intuitive operation is via the OLED display on the front, and the various settings can be made via rotary controls or remotely via the interfaces.
