Pulse generator and pulse modulator options enable high quality pulses to be generated. An optional feature of a built-in pulse generator is the possibility of generating pulse trains that are often used in radar applications.
With the additional pulse train option Rohde & Schwarz SMBB-K27, users can generate single pulses, double pulses and configurable pulse trains. In contrast to single or double pulses, a pulse train is a combination of different pulses. It can be a periodic or non-periodic set. Pulse width and pause can be set independently and separately for each pulse. This makes it possible to generate staggered pulses or to apply jitter to the pulse width and pause. Up to 2047 different pulses with a repetition of 1 to 65535 are possible. This results in very long pulse sequences for the test.
