The Picotest Component Test Fixture (CTF) is a powerful test fixture for fast and highly precise impedance and S-parameter measurement of SMD components. Thanks to the combination of precise fixture design, special calibrators, and matched test mounts, the CTF enables measurements down to the pH and pF range, thus supporting significantly higher model accuracy than pure datasheet assumptions. Especially in demanding applications such as power integrity, AI/data centers, FPGA/ASICs, and systems with high dynamic load currents, the CTF delivers the measurement data required for reliable PDN/impedance simulations. It supports 2-port shunt-through impedance measurement and is suitable for, among other things... For characterizing capacitors (including DC bias), inductors/magnetics, resistors, ferrite beads, and other passive components. The fixture is designed for ease of use: components can be quickly inserted and replaced, and calibration is supported by the included calibrator PCBs (impedance and full 2-port/SOL). Additionally, features such as DC bias testing, a common-mode transformer to reduce ground loop problems, and transient protection to protect the instrument are integrated.
